Birth Control Update: New Methods, New Lessons
Date: Friday, November 2, 2007
Locations: Cherry Hill Public
Library - Cherry Hill, Rutgers Extension - Newton
Time: 9am-3pm
CEU's:
5 (For New Jersey teachers and CHES)
It is critical for teens to learn how to choose and use effective
methods of birth control to prevent unplanned pregnancy and sexually transmitted
diseases, whether or not they are currently having intercourse. Misinformation
and misconceptions can contribute to a teen’s failure to protect himself or
herself. Helping young people to recognize the pros and cons of various methods
will enable them to make informed choices about their contraceptive options now
and in the future. This workshop will help participants learn interactive
teaching strategies based on accurate, updated information about contraception
and emergency contraception. For more information
